Rice Spoon
This old spoon from the Indonesian island of Java was used to serve rice. Its handle has a unique shape that allows this large spoon to stand. The shape of the handle reminds us of the traditional Javanese puppet Wayang or Wajang which means ‘shadow’ or ‘imagination’.
